Bad to the Bone - are you?

Every 'cue hound in the county knows Lucille's Bad to the Bone BBQ may not look like a barbecue joint from outside, but inside there's enough smokin' to please every Tom, Dick and Bubba.

The intentional hillbilly ambiance comes across even though you won't pass a pile of wood out front or walk through a screen door to get to this grub. What you will find is sweet tea, vinyl cowhide-covered tables, ceiling fans swishing luscious barbecue aromatics through the air, a stuffed hairy-chinned hog's head sternly overlooking the eating festivities and good barbecue.

Lucille's wins the prize for best hillbilly decor with its combination of license plates and bric-a-brac decorating every available wall. While it started as a barbecue joint, there's now just as much emphasis on salads, wraps and half-pound burgers. In keeping with barbecue tradition, servings are large, including the incredible brownie sundae.

GOOD EATING:
1st time I went, I was soooo stuffed, I felt like rolly polly for two days! Took home the extras in a box to go and wow! I had three meals for the weekend!
